As a passionate advocate for sustainable design, I am committed to sharing my knowledge and expertise with others. Through a variety of educational offerings, including workshops and courses, I aim to inspire the next generation of textile artists and designers.
My workshops and courses delve into the intricacies of natural dyeing, weaving, and other traditional textile techniques. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from my years of experience and gain hands-on skills. By fostering a deep connection to the natural world, I encourage creativity and innovation in textile design.
WORKSHOPS

The MiaSylvia Studio, Florists shops, Farms, Festivals, Mountains, Yurts, Warehouses and Schools/ educational environments.
I teach world wide and have ran courses in schools in Armenia, taught with an open fire in the mountains of Bulgaria, and been deep into colour theory with industry professionals that have travelled into the deep Mexican Jungle to learn from me.
COURSES
What does this look like?
All materials are provided by MiaSylvia, a water source is necessary and heat (whether electrical hob or open fire).
The short classes can be 1 hour. Average classes are 2 hours. The longest class has been a day deep diving into colour for 5-8 hours. You’ll learn how to produce colour from natural ingredients, how to prep the fabrics for dyeing and will create a booklet of samples and notes from your learnings.
