REGENERATIVE DESIGN

Regenerative design in textiles, in the context of repurposing, involves breathing new life into materials destined for the landfill. It's about seeing discarded fabrics, worn clothing, and industrial remnants not as waste, but as raw materials for future creations. By upcycling and reimagining these materials, we can extend their lifecycle, reduce environmental impact, and create unique, sustainable pieces.

This approach aligns with the principles of circular economy, where resources are kept in use for as long as possible, extracted and produced responsibly, and recovered and regenerated at the end of each service life.

By repurposing discarded textiles, we can reduce the demand for virgin materials, conserve energy and water, and minimise pollution.
